Bays Mountain is a nature preserve owned and operated by the city of Kingsport, Tennessee. The facilities include the 3000 acre outdoor classroom, a 44 acre lake, and a nature center/museum, inside of which is a planetarium with a 40 foot diameter dome. Currently celebrating its 60th Season, Oak Ridge Playhouse found its roots in 1943 when the Oak Ridge Journal, then the city's newspaper, posted a notice of an organization created for those interested in forming an amateur theater group. That fall, a Variety Show Fundraiser was held, and thus the Playhouse, known as the Oak Ridge Little Theatre, was born. A few years later the Little Theatre, which had been run by the U.S. Army's recreation department, broke off on its own and became Oak Ridge Community Playhouse.

In 1998, our family created a free, online, Christian homeschool magazine at www.utmost-way.com as a ministry to help homeschooled families and vendors connect and to minister to their hearts. We have home schooled our six children for 17+ years and have an affinity to families who do the same. The magazine has been added to, over the years, but some of the areas have fallen slightly behind, due to the abundance of work we have been doing in our family. We are also running a 501(c)(3) ministry now. We have just recently been recreating the magazine (still free and online) and will re-release it soon.
